Suppose that the A locus and B locus in an organism are linked. The recombination rate between them is r=0.05. An individual with the genotype AB/ab produces the following gametes with what frequency.

AB=
Ab=
aB=
ab=
Choose from option below:
a) 25%,25%,25%,25%
b) 50%,0%,0%,50%
c) 5%,45%,45%,5%
d) 47.5%,2.5%,2.5%,47.5%
e) 95%,0%,0%,5%

the questions is asking about recombination.

sorry I forgot to include, how to get answer.

essentially AB and ab are linked and do not recombine, so it would normally be 50,0,0,50

but since there is r = .05

for non-recombinant .5 * (1 - r)
recombinant .5 * r

We can calculate the new values following recombination, .5 * (1 - .05) = 47.5% for AB & ab
                              .5 * .05 = 2.5% for recombinant gametes Ab & aB

so the answer is d.
