Environmental health comprises those aspects of human health affecting quality of life that are determined by biological, chemical, and social and psychological problems in the envi-ronment.

Why is it important for nurses to understand the premises of environmental health? 1. Nurses should be able to assess, eliminate/reduce, educate, and advocate for poli-cies that support health environments.
