Answer: Acute undifferentiated leukemias is an acute leukemia in which the morphology, cytochemistry, and immunophenotype of the proliferating blasts lack sufficient information to classify them as myeloid or lymphoid origin. They are difficult to identify by conventional methods because they share common detectable markers of multiple lineages.
