Patients rarely need red blood cell transfusions if the hemoglobin concentration is
 
  a. Below 7 g/dL (70 g/L) and the patient has a low oxygen saturation level
  b. Below 10 g/dL (100 g/L) and the patient is bleeding
  c. Between 7 and 10 g/dL (70 and 100 g/L)and the patient has underlying cardiac disease
  d. Above 10 g/dL (100 g/L) and the patient is hemodynamically stable
