Explain how you could determine the exclusion limit of a gel of unknown origin.

You could run a series of standards of known molecular weight through the column and measure the elution volumes. Eventually you would come to a size where every molecule that size and bigger came out at the same volume. That would be the exclusion limit. You could also plot log MW vs. Kd and extrapolate to where the Kd is zero.
