How was a wife able to reclaim her dowry?
 
  a. After the death of her husband, the wife became the legal head of the house and controlled all its wealth.
  b. A wife still legally belonged to her father's house, and therefore, she could reclaim her dowry when her husband died.
  c. A wife could only reclaim her dowry if her marriage involved a legal written document.
  d. The husband's wealth was legally the wife's if he had served or died in the Roman military.
  e. Under Roman law, the wives of Roman citizens were allowed to reclaim their dowries.
