A neonate is diagnosed with a tracheoesophageal fistula. The infant is having difficulty managing secretions. An appropriate intervention would be to:
 
  a. Position infant supine to reduce pressure on the chest
  b. Maintain infant in an upright position to reduce risk of aspiration
