D
Effective discipline strategies should involve a comprehensive approach that includes consideration of the parentchild relationship, reinforcement of desired behaviors, and consequences for negative behaviors. Discipline does not need to be agreed on by the child. Both parents should be in agreement so the discipline is consistently applied. Discipline does not necessarily need to include physical restriction and does not need to be consistent with that of the child's peers.
