The nurse explaining the procedure and purpose of a test for group B streptococcal infection to the pregnant woman on her first prenatal visit states:

  A) This test will be performed 3-5 weeks before your expected due date by performing a vaginal swab. B) This test will be performed several times throughout your pregnancy by drawing a small amount of blood. C) This is a vaginal swab performed at your initial prenatal visit, again midway through your pregnancy, and one last time when you begin labor. D) This test will be performed today, and then again prior to delivery, by drawing a small amount of blood.
