D
Fetal distress due to compression of the umbilical cord is a serious complication associated with oligohydramnios. Oligohydramnios is a deficiency of amniotic fluid. Preterm delivery caused by contractions from uterine pressure does not occur with oligohydramnios. Oligohydramnios decreases uterine volume.
