A 10-year-old child is in the Erikson stage of industry versus inferiority. Mastery of tasks leads to self-confidence. Industry is apparent when the child feels capable of doing homework or other assigned tasks independently. This shows resolution of the nursing diagnosis, as appropriate developmental tasks have been accomplished. The other actions do not show resolution of this task.
