The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a personality type assessment system created by Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, based on the ideas and theories of psychologist Carl Jung. Briggs and Myers concluded that human beings differ from one another in four primary ways, or preferences. These preferences combined form a personality type. Briggs and Myers likened their system of preferences to the ability to use our hands: most of us can use both hands but have a preference
