  A. Supporters of Universal Ethical Egoism publicize their commitment to egoismso that others are alert to the egoist's success and can further assist him/herin the pursuit of their own general self-interests at others' expense.
 B. Supporters of Universal Ethical Egoism do not publicize their commitment toegoism so that others won't guard themselves against being harmed by theegoist, which assures the egoist's success in furthering their own general selfinterests at others' expense.

 egoist, which challenges the egoist's ability to succeed.
