The original Milan group assumed that families:
 
  A. Operated paradoxically, wanting change in a problem or problem person, but demanding that everything stay the same
  B. Maintained problems to keep other people in the system from falling apart
  C. Were pretty much straight-forward, non-game-playing people who needed a paradoxical intervention to stir things up
  D. Needed quick changes to abort dysfunction and knowing what the family thought was the problem was almost useless
