A marked increase in the price of basic goods is often an indicator:
 
  a) That the economic is on an upswing
  b) That there is a shortage of certain products
  c) That the economic institution is suffering a downturn.
  d) The prices of basic goods regularly fluxuate, a large increase now and then is not an indicator of
  anything.
