I read somewhere that the organelles in a plant and animal cell can move around freely in the Cytoplasm. If so, how can they if they are attached to the Cytoskeleton?

They use the cytoskeleton almost like train tracks to do this. Many organelles, such as vesicles have been shown to climb up and down proteins that make up the cytoskeleton.
