How would a Buddist, such as the Dalai Lama, most likely respond to the request of the parents to withhold medical care from their infant born with Down’s syndrome?
   a.   They would comply with the parents’ request out of respect for their autonomy.
   b.   They would try to convince the parents to use active rather than passive euthanasia since it would be less painful for the infant.
   c.   They would try to talk the parents out of their decision and instead convince them to allow the infant to be adopted by a loving home.
   d.   They would try to persuade the parents not to euthanize the infant because some people with Down’s syndrome are able to become autonomous moral agents.
