1. one common protozoan is paramecium caudatum, it has cilia all over the cell wall, those near the cyclostome (the cell's mouth) act do draw in food particles from the surrounding water. Once the food enters the cell through the cyclostome, it becomes enveloped by a food vacuole, protons are pumped into the vacuole to make it acidic, along with other enzymes. Digestion occurs inside the vacuole which travels through the cell meanwhile. Nutrients formed during digestion diffuse to the surrounding cytoplasm. After digestion is over the remaining are discharged outside the cell through the cell wall.

2. yeasts are unicellular eukaryotes, a type of fungus. They feed on simple organic compounds, like mono and disaccharides, food is actively transported into the cell where it may undergo further digestion.
