I haven't been able to find this in the book yet? Could someone explain the rules for equivalent logarithmic form?  Nerd Face Confounded Face

Rewrite the logarithmic expression log(A+B/B) in equivalent logarithmic form. There may be more than one correct answer.

 A.  log(1)+log(B)-log(A)

 B.  log(B)-log(A)

 C.  log(B)

 D.  log(A+B) - log(A)

 E.  log(1+B/A)

 F. None of the above

bio_man, log(a+1)=/=log(a)

if a=9, then log(9+1)=1
versus log(9)=.95

fodog414, are you sure the typed the problem and answers with the proper variables and parentheses? I don't see any correct answers as everything is written.

Oops, I didn't see option F Smiling Face with Open Mouth

Still, I'm curious if this isn't actually log((A+B)/B) which has the form log(A+B)-log(B)

You wrote it down incorrectly in the opening post, it's log((A+B)/A) not log(a+b/b).

that has the form log(A+B) - log(A) , which is answer D.

Sorry about those parenthesis,

It seems that it cant be just D
or CD
From what i've worked out its log A + log B - log A
