Mack, a 16-year-old student with autism, became angry when he could not go to his Music class. Mack pushed another student to the floor when the student came close to him. The push caused the student to fall and injure himself. Mack was sent to the principal's office who suspended him for a short period. Now, the IEP team must review Mack's behavior and make a manifest determination decision. All the following are guidelines to use if Mack's behavior is determined to be the result of his disability EXCEPT ________.
