Referring to following rainbow, I would like to know on why red color is at the top for rainbow instead of bottom.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Because its wavelength is the biggest relative to the other colors. Since violet light has a shorter wavelength, it is slowed more than the longer wavelengths of red light. Consequently, violet light is bent the most while red light is bent the least.

Wavelength for red color is longer then blue color, could you please describe more about "slowed" related to the position of rainbow?

In a vacuum (such as space), the speed of light is the same for red and blue. But in a prism (glass, for example), the shorter the wavelength, the slower it is. Violet travels the slowest so it is on the bottom and red travels the fastest so is on the top.
