Thanks! But can you explain to me this one? Does this mean that grasses are composed only of leaves and roots?

Hi again minissa!

To be honest, I know very little about grass, which kind of sucks considering I am a biologist Face with Stuck-out Tongue Grasses are monocotyledonous with narrow leaves growing from the base. In terms of emergence from the soil, grasses have hypogeal emergence, where the mesocotyl elongates and pushes the coleoptile (which encloses and protects the shoot tip) toward the soil surface. Since elongation occurs above the cotyledon, it is left in place in the soil where it was planted. Moreover, does grass have leaves and roots. Yes! Slight Smile However, the stems of grasses are so small they're almost microscopic, which makes grass seem like it's just leaves and roots.

Hope that answers your question. What class is this for?
