Believe (mind) vs Trust (heart)

I would like to know on how heart (trust) and mind (believe) reacts differently within our body on following statements

“I know you will succeed in your career” - FAITH (Believe in mind)

“I know you will not lie or cheat anyone” - TRUST (Believe in heart)

How does heart and mind works together?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Fathers toss the one year old child in air and child is still smiling because he/she thinks that his/her father will catch him/her. That's trust (Believe in heart)

Child is easily to believe in heart (with emotion), but as I grow older, and tend to believe in mind (without emotion), not heart (with emotion) anymore, what is missing?
