A client was admitted for treatment of burns over 65% of the body. History reveals that the client takes opioids at home to control chronic back pain.  What would the nurse expect regarding the client's opioid dosage while hospitalized?
1. It should be lower since the client is not opioid nave.
2. It will be approximately the same, with some prn doses for breakthrough pain.
3. There may be a slight increase in the amount of opioids required.
4. The dosage required for pain control may be significantly higher.
