I think I already figured it out, so mod 29 is better because there are more keys than mod 30?
mod 29 = 28 coprimes (16 inverses) vs. mod 30 = 8 coprimes (4 inverses). So the inverses are the keys yes?

Yes, and yes.

The number of keys are less for when we have modulo 30.
