similar?

Both Beck and Ellis are interested in the client’s beliefs.
Ellis says that many beliefs are irrational and should be directly challenged.
Beck says that many beliefs are counterproductive; however, he doesn’t directly challenge the client.  Instead, he asks questions that will cause the client to test his or her own beliefs against the evidence.
