1. A deer population increases in size from 2000 to 2300 individuals over one year. Calculate the growth rate of the poulation in this time interval.

part b) determine the per captia growth rate of deer

2. Suppose that a small backyard ponbd contains 25 Lemma minor plants, and the expected growth rate of the population is 1.0 x 10^2 plants per day. Predict how many Lemma minor plants the pond will contain after 31 days.

I think these are the answers, though if someone else wants to check them that would be cool.

1a) 300/1 = 300 dear/year
b) (2300-2000)/2000 = 0.15

2) cgr= N/t
N= (cgr)(t)
N= (1.0x10^2)(31)
N= 3100 + 25 (25 from the original population)
= 3125 total number of plants
