 Dermatophyte infections

Dermatophytes (dur-MAH-toh-fites) are fungi that live on the dead outer layer of skin. Sometimes they can produce symptoms of infection. Tinea (TIH-nee-uh) infections, commonly called ringworm (although they have nothing to do with worms)
