Given that the density of Acetone is 0.791 g cm-3, a 20 mL volume of acetone was dissolved into a solution (total volume of solution including acetone = 205 mL). Calculate the [Acetone] in this solution. I am so confused on how to do this  Confounded Face Confounded Face If anybody could help that would be very nice of u  Slight Smile

First start by finding the mass of acetone:

Density = mass/Volume, so m = DV

m = 0.791 g cm-3 * 20 ml
m = 15.82 g

Concentration = moles / volume

Not sure how to proceed from here, haven't done chemistry in a long time Frowning Face
