New to site, befuddled

Where is the "how to" for help navigating and understanding this site?  I'd like to buy one of the three memberships, but I cannot get the "2 regular' member downloads to see if any of this is quality or spam links.  From what I do see so far, it appears real people are trying to help each other, but are the downloads safe?  Does admin check each and every post with an attachment for spam/scam/viruses, etc.?  I'm leery, probably just from the confusing configuration of this page and inability to find instructions.  Thank you.
