In early childhood, bilingual children:
a.   tend to speak both languages fluently
b.   experience interference with the second language as they are still mastering their first language.
c.   sometimes intermix the syntax of the two languages.
d.   forget which parent speaks which language and mixes this up.

D. For the most part, becoming bilingual is favorable to language development. Learning a secondary language does not interfere with mastering the primary language. However, sometimes children intermix the syntax of both languages.
