X is normal eyed allele
x is bar eyed allele
female is     X    x  (normal vision but hetero)
male is        X    Y  (normal vision male)

the offspring would be      X      x
                                   X   XX   Xx

                                   Y   XY   xY
both females have normal eyes, but one carries the trait for barred eyes

one male is normal eyed, the other has barred eyes. Its a recessive trait but a male only needs one affected (x) allele.

The answer is C.

In order for ant female offspring to be affected, she would have to have to 2 affected (x) alleles.
