Humans mate based on phenotype and the hardy Weinberg principle states that there will be equilibrium if there is random mating with respect to genotype, which is true for humans since we base our mates on phenotype  ( is it not?). So than how is non-random mating an agent of micro evolution if it follows the Hardy Weinberg principle?
So than why is the principle of "mating irrelevant to genotype" part of the Hardy Weinburg Principle if it actually does help micro evolution occur since no particular allele is favoured?

Because nonrandom mating means that there is no preference given to specific alleles in the population.  If there were, frequencies would be altered.  Be careful when applying "natural" principles to human populations;  because our civilization is based on human concepts of laws and morality, we don't necessarily follow the same "rules" that other animal populations do.
