For this math I am using a TI-83 texas instrument plus

for Linear function:
How do i calculate slope?

If you can tell me how to solve these on the calculator i have, and explain it, that would be great. Thanks so much.

hey man/lady/girl/boy,

For a linear function in the form of y=mx+c
the slope is m
for eg. y=3x+5
Slope=3
eg.2. 3y=4x+3
In this one remember coefficient of y should be 1
so divide equation by 3

y=4/3x+1
so slope is 4/3 and y intercept is 1

in the form ax+by+c=0
eg. 2x+2y+2=0

then write it as 2y=-2x-2
y=-x-1
so slope is -1
y intercept is -1

There are many forms
but Dont use calculator for such such easy questions
