I know this might sound weird but you should look into advertising.  WHen companies are launching ad campaigns they look at many aspects such as target audience (age, gender etc.), they also seek ways to make the product relvant in poeple's lives and situations, that's where you would come in.  Advertising is all about sociology and psychology.  Or maybe you can be a social worker and help children.  Your teachers can be a great resource for ideas, most college professors have experiences outside the classroom, I would asked them what they did before they got there.

Social work, teaching, office management, government, law school, politics, etc.
