What motivated U.S. American expansionism in the 1890’s, and still today's? Do you think U.S. foreign policy is primarily an interventionist savior of other nations or an interfering expansionist into the affairs of other nations?

Economic interests for the most part.
Part 2 is personal opinion but if the teacher is a conservative answer that America is helping people across the world. If teacher is a liberal write that America is just interfering in other countries to benefit rich corporations and find support for either argument.
