I am either A- or 0- my mother is A positive, can I give her my kidney would I be a match?

If you are Rh negative and she is Rh positive, you would not be a suitable donor.  The two blood types are completely incompatible.  In fact, in some cases even carrying a baby of the opposite RH factor will cause serious health problems, so thank goodness you and your mother survived it.

It does not matter if your blood type is positive or negative for kidney transplantation. If you are type 0 blood type, you can very well donate because those with this blood type are universal donors and luckily AB blood type are universal acceptors. So yes, whether you are A or 0 blood type, you can donate.
