Sir Thomas Young proposed the existence of only three color receptors. How would he explain our sensation of so many other colors?
A) Our brains "learn" to sense other colors, but only after experience with the first three.
B) He could not explain our sensation of other colors, although many years later another scientist did.
C) All other colors are additive or subtractive combinations of the colors he identified.
D) All other colors were afterimages of the three colors he identified.
