You need to calculate Ecell (standard) in order to determine spontaneity. If the value you calculate ends up being positive, the cell with be SPONTANEOUS. If it's negative, it won't be spontaneous. Find the reduction potentials of the elements/compounds in the cells by referring to a reduction potential chart, which should be in your chem book. Determine which is being reduced and oxidized. Remeber, the things that get oxidized have the opposite charge of their reduction potential. Use this equation.

Ecell (standard)=Ered + Eox
