what is the product of the reaction of benzaldehyde and phenylmagnesium bromide?

(1) If benzaldehyde(from an old bottle) is added slowly to phenylmagnesuim bromide then what is the desired product fomed?
(2) An IR of benzaldehyde showed benzoic acid contaminant. So what is the unwanted product?

The benzoic acid will quench (destroy) the Grignard reagent faster then the benzaldehyde will react with it. After the standard aqueous/acid workup the products would be diphenyl methanol (desired product), benzoic acid and benzene.
