1) Eukaryotes contain membrane-bound nuclei and other organelles, while prokaryotes lack this membrane-bound nucleus.

2) Prokaryotes are most always single-celled, except when they exist in colonies, where as eukaryotes are multicellular.

3) Eukaryotic DNA is linear; prokaryotic DNA is circular (it has no ends).

prokaryotes do not have a true nucleus, they don't have any membrane bound organelles and the DNA is a single loop found in the cytosol. In contrast Eukaryotes have all the organelles bound in a double layer membrane including a true nucleus with a nucleolus where you find the linear DNA.
