A series RLC circuit contains a 125.0 ? resistor, a 35.0 ?F capacitor and a 70.0 mH inductor. The circuit is attached to a 60 Hz oscillator with a peak voltage of 55.0 V.

a) What is the peak current?

b) What is the phase angle?

c) What is the peak voltage across the capacitor?

Your main formulas here are V(inductor) = I(XL), V(capacitor) = I (XC), V(resistor) = I R, and V(generator) = I Z overall.  That gives the magnitude.  The phase angle comes from the diagram for
Z, with R along the x axis, XL along the positive y axis, XC along the negative y axis, so the net
y component is XL-XC.  The hypotenuse is Z, and the angle it makes with R is the phase angle.
