Discuss the treatment Loyalists received during the war and whether such treatment was fair
or appropriate.

Many of the loyalists were immigrants from England. They felt that England was still their home. America rebelled to become independent from them, when most of the revolutionaries did had already adapted to the new world, and were not immigrants. The loyalists stayed Loyal to England because they felt they would win the war. They were fined,put in jail, and had their property taken. In a way this was fair because although they were from England, these people entered their new home land and should not support the enemy.
