The mRNA molecule leaves the DNA molecule, and the DNA molecule rewinds to form a double helix. Meanwhile, the mRNA molecule passes through a pore in the nucleus and proceeds into the cellular cytoplasm where it moves toward the ribosomes.

If your teacher really phrased the question this way, kick your teacher out of the classroom.  Seriously.  Go to the principal, and get this person replaced with someone who is qualified to teach biology.

But before you do, ask your teacher how the mRNA is getting instructions from PROTEINS.  Laugh politely when your teacher tries to cover his or her behind.
