There are five basic steps for identifying training needs. The steps are performed in an ordered sequence of one through five. Match the appropriate step to the desired ordered sequence number:

1.   User classes are defined as the personnel who perform similar functions.
2.   End users are identified and grouped by job class responsibilities.
3.   Training needs of each job class are determined according to what functions each person will perform.
4.   User classes refine the types of training classes needed for implementation.
5.   Before implementation the new information system is defined in terms of functions such as enter order, generate report, etc.
