I'm having trouble understanding genetic variation due to genetic drift and effective populations and all that jazz. So I have one population of 100 with an effective population of 100 and another with a population of 130 with an effective population of 92. Which one is in most danger of losing genetic variation due to genetic drift? I want to say the first with the effective pop of 100. First of all, is that correct and secondly, am I correct in saying it's because it's closest to it's actual population size?

Effective population size is the number of individuals in a population who contribute offspring to the next generation.Variation is most likely to be lost in the second population because not all the population is successfully passing on its genes (shown by the effective population of 92). Since this population has already effectively lost the variation in genetics from 38 members it is more at risk of losing further genetic diversity.
