Describe four reasons why racial-ethnic intermarriage has increased.

For the migrants or for the country?


1) Increased worldwide travel - you go abroad, meet a partner from another ethnicity, get married.

2) More integration of minorities into countries = more toleration of the differences between cultures and more interracial marriages

3) In western society, females work more then they ever used to. Their careers are as important to them as male careers are to men. Many men, who earn very good money, on the other hand prefer 'stay at home' wives. The culture in many ethnicities (especially Asian cultures) still mainly retain this attitude.
