for example, could Fructose enter glycolysis right away , or does it have to be converted to glucose first ??
i'm looking at yeast anaerobic respiration in particular.

No. Fructose may enter its own dedgredative pathway, called fructolysis.
However, glycolysis has 10 steps, each of which provdies an entry point for other monosaccharides, so they do not have to converted to glucose but may still enter glycolysis at a later stage.

fructose 6 phosphate is an intermediate in glycolysis. therefore if you have fructose, it would likely convert into fructose 6 phosphate and continue through glycolysis from there
