he process of oogenesis occurs in females, and the process of spermatogenesis occurs in males.Further Explanation:The process of oogenesis and spermatogenesis are the processes of development of female and male gametes, respectively. A gamete is the reproductive cell of an organism. It can be an egg cell in a female or a sperm cell in a male. The gametes are haploid because they are produced through the reductional division. The process of spermatogenesis involves the formation of sperms, while oogenesis consists of the formation of ova. The fertilization of ova and sperm leads to the development of a zygote that further develops into an embryo.  The process of sexual reproduction is assisted by the male reproductive cell called sperm.  Spermatogenesis and oogenesis involve meiosis that is a reductional division and forms a haploid sperm and ova. The female reproductive cell is an egg cell that is involved in the process of sexual reproduction.
