Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, is one of the most widely used medications in the world. To what group of medications does aspirin belong? Explain its mechanism of action for preventing pain and inflammation as well as its ability to prevent blood clots. Aspirin also has some undesirable side effects, especially in higher doses.
